A majority of the articles were originally published on audienceseverywhere.net, founded by my friend Dave, where I shared my voice with someone besides a teacher for the first time. I recall when Dave sent me a message about a writing gig. Knowing just how well he wrote, I expressed my excitement for him. Only to be corrected and told, it was for me.
Being in the company of talented writers, I learned about myself and my capabilities. After having the privilege of writing alongside these writers, as close you can get on the Internet, I gained a sense of confidence to explore writing on my own and created t.eats. Former AudiencesEverywhere writers received an email from Dave about the pieces we authored and their fate in the coming year. It was bittersweet and I filed it away, pushing the thought aside. Only later did I return to AE, where we did talk movies, reread the farewell, and began to sift through my contributions. It didn’t take long for me to realize, I couldn’t let my words go so easily. I want to remember and continue writing about movies.
I may be making a stretch in bridge my love for food and movies in this manner and I do so with reckless abandon.
